State Ritual Contest 2009 Results

The State Ritual Contest was held on Friday April 17, 2009 during the State Elks Convention in Oklahoma City. There were 9 Lodges competing and they all gave great renditions of the Ritual. When the dust finally settled - Broken Arrow #2673 was the winner with a team score of 96.977.

Broken Arrow's ritual team will be representing Oklahoma at the National Ritual Contest to be held at the Grand Lodge Convention in Portland, OR.

The Lodges that competed were Shawnee #657, Sapulpa #1118, Miami #1320, Okmulgee #1822, Midwest City #1890, Chickasha #2125, Pawhuska #2542, Broken Arrow #2673 and Wagoner #2838. The teams obviously made it very difficult on the Floor & Word Judges because there was only a 1.715 point difference between the first and the last place team.

Congratulations to all of those who participated and thanks to those who helped to score, judge, organize and generally make the contest a smooth & well run event.
